Community Health Project Activities

  • Establish a Start-a-Chapter committee
  • Become an official NSNA Chapter.
By participating in this activity, you will be able to:
  • Identify and list your personal leadership attributes;
  • Evaluate your personal capacity for leadership;
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the complex role organizations play to serve the community health needs.

Start-a-Chapter Learning Objectives:

  • Prepare an agenda and to run (or participate in) a committee meeting;
  • Present written and verbal reports of progress made toward reaching committee goals;
  • Conduct a community health assessment;
  • Plan and implement a community health project based on needs assessment;
  • Articulate the outcomes expected and evaluate project to determine if outcomes were accomplished;
  • Practice collaboration among peers.
